terms & conditions

Refunds & Cancellations

-In order to reserve your place on the training a payment toward the training is required. The information regarding the payment options are on the School of Yoga individual training pages. Half of the training cost is non-refundable . The place on the training is only reserved once a payment toward the training is received.

-Please note this deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to another yoga teacher training.

-Full payment for the training must be made 1 month prior to the start date.

-If you cancel your place on the training more than 8 weeks before the start date of the training, Kindred will be able to refund the total payment minus the non-refundable deposit.

-If you cancel your place on the training les than 8 weeks before the start date of the training, Kindred will be unable to refund the training fee. It is up to the discretion of Kindred Yoga to refund some or all of the fee (minus the non-refundable deposit) if Kindred is able to fill the place on the teacher training.

-If you have to leave the training once it has started at any point, Kindred Yoga will not be able to offer a partial refund for the remainder of the course and will not be able to transfer your place to a future training.

-If you must withdraw from the program for special circumstances such as a serious illness, injury, change in circumstances or bereavement, Kindred Yoga will unfortunately not be able to give any refund. It is up to the discretion of Kindred Yoga if they can defer the remaining modules to a future training.

Attendance 

-To meet Yoga Alliance US regulations, it is compulsory to attend 100% of the modules.

-Please ensure that you are able to fully commit to the training and the dates prior to registration.

-Any modules you may miss will need to be completed before graduation with the teacher. All missed modules will need to be arranged and paid for by the student. Please note the teachers time will be charged at £125 per hour.

-Please be punctual for the sessions, if you are repeatedly late we have the right to ask you to reschedule the module with added costs.

Travelling to the Training

-Kindred takes no responsibility for your travel to the training, cancellation of flights or any transport booked to travel to the training and will not be held responsible for any refunds and charges incurred associated.

-Kindred will not be able to refund the training costs if for any reason you are unable to attend the training such as air travel strikes, missed flights, Covid or any other circumstances.

-We advise all students to book refundable/flexible flights and that you have booked comprehensive travel insurance to cover you in such an instance.

Payment of Fees

-Full payment of the training must be made one month prior to the start of the course date.

- If in the unlikely event that you are unable to join the course or cannot finish the course, the payment must still be paid for in full in line with the refunds and cancellations terms and conditions stated above.

Bad Conduct

No refunds will be given if the school removes a student from the training for bad conduct. Bad conduct is violation of the Code of Conduct, harassment, bullying, or any other behavior that is inappropriate or disruptive to the welfare of the training or to fellow students.

COVID-19 Specific T&Cs

Change of Training Location due to COVID-19

- If we are unable to travel due to COVID-19 we will either host the immersion at a UK retreat centre or at the Kindred Studio in SE London. It is up to the discretion of Kindred if we decide to use this alternative venue due to uncertainty around the ability to travel outside of the UK due to COVID-19.

-It is the decision of Kindred alone to change the venue location even if between the decision to change to a UK venue and the start date of the training, it transpires that travel was possible.

-If the immersion venue changes to a UK venue due to COVID-19, Kindred will not be liable to pay for flights or any travel and accommodation booked as part of the training. We advise all students to book refundable/flexible flights and accommodation with cancellation policy and that you have booked comprehensive travel insurance to cover you in such an instance.

Rescheduled Immersion & Training due to COVID-19

-If due to COVID-19 measures we are unable to commence or continue the training part way through, Kindred will postpone the training, the training will not be cancelled. The new dates will be the decision of Kindred which will be scheduled as soon as possible due to venue availability & certainty of lock-down restrictions being lifted.

-If the course is forced to be postponed part way through the course, Kindred Yoga will rearrange the remaining modules of the course and if this is not possible for you to attend, Kindred will transfer you to the next training dates that you are available for.

-Training rescheduled within 6 months of original immersion start date due to COVID-19

-If the new rescheduled training dates are within 6 months of the original immersion start date and you are unable to attend the dates, it is at our discretion to offer you a refund of your payment so far minus the non refundable deposit if we are able to fill your spot.

-Your non-refundable deposit can be used for any future Kindred teacher trainings, this can be done once.

-Training rescheduled over 6 months of original immersion start date due to COVID-19
- If the new training dates are over 6 months of the original immersion start date and you are unable to attend the dates, we will offer you a refund of what you have paid so far minus the non refundable deposit.

-Your non-refundable deposit can be used for any future kindred teacher trainings, this can be done once.

Travelling Abroad

- By signing up to the Kindred training, you are agreeing to travel with the current Covid travel requirements set by the UK and destination country’s government such as paying for PCR tests on return to the UK.

-Please assume you will need a negative PCR test result to travel.

-If you test positive and are unable to attend the training, Kindred cannot take responsibility and will not offer you a refund/transfer of your tuition fees, accommodation costs, flights or any other costs incurred as part of the training. This is due to the fact we will not be able to fill the spot at such late notice.

-If a negative test is obtained in time to partially attend the training this is permitted by Kindred - however, please note any travel costs incurred will need to be covered by the student. The student will also need to make up the hours they have missed, this would be subject to our T&Cs regarding training hours missed in terms of cost of the teachers time. Kindred will help to organise the rescheduling of hours missed.

-We advise that you minimise exposure to COVID-19 or self-isolate if possible before travel to ensure this does not happen and get comprehensive travel insurance to protect you in the unlikely event that it does happen.

Force Majeure 

-No cash refunds will be issued.

-If the course is forced to be postponed part way through the course, Kindred Yoga will rearrange the remaining modules of the course and if this is not possible for students to attend, Kindred will transfer to the next training that they are available for.

Photography & Video

- Kindred reserves the right to take photographs and videos during the teacher training and these will be used for marketing purposes. 

-Please inform Kindred prior to the training if you would not like your photograph used in Kindred marketing materials.
